A 22-year-old man was stabbed to death during a fight with another man at a Laguna Niguel bar early Monday morning, said an Orange County sheriff’s lieutenant.
The stabbing was reported at 12:15 a.m. at Patsy’s Irish Pub, 28791 Street of the Golden Lantern, said Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Joe Gaul.
Homicide detectives were investigating the stabbing at the scene, he said.
The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Craig Tanber, “a documented gang member with a significant criminal history, was being sought and should be considered armed and dangerous, said Orange County sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Hallock.
“He frequents the south Orange County area and the city of Huntington Beach,” Hallock said.
Tanber is described as white, 6 feet 1 inch tall, 190 pounds with brown hair, hazel eyes and numerous tattoos covering his body.
The victim — identified by the Orange County coroner’s office as Shayan Mazroei of Laguna Niguel — was transported to Mission Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Gaul said.
A Facebook page by a 22-year-old Laguna Niguel man calling himself Shayan Maserati indicated he was owner and CEO of Auto Gallery LLC in Santa Ana. A phone call to Auto Gallery on Monday afternoon brought only an answering machine.
Maserati lists himself as a graduate of Putnam City North High School in Oklahoma City and says he is from Tehran, Iran.
Patsy’s Irish Pub is closed, a sign said.
